Sincere condolences to Lucy and the family. Sandy was indeed a great contributor and supporter of Cape Breton fiddle music and culture. His contributions will live on in the many fine fiddle tunes he composed.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Sandy’s passing. He was such a kind and gentle man. Sandy would often call upon my daughters Shannon and Meagan Sullivan who were Irish dancers. His music was brilliant and he always made everyone feel so at home. St. Patrick’s Day was the best! The world has lost a very gem. May the songs of the angels bring him home to his eternal resting place.

So sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. Sincere condolences to Lucy, Brian, Stephen and the family. Sandy was a long time good friend and a super nice man. He was instrumental in my getting my job at Air Canada and will always be grateful to him for that. THANK YOU Sandy and may God open his arms to you on your arrival and let you rest in peace, my friend.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Sandy. I first met Sandy in the 1990’s as a Fiddle instructor at the Gaelic College during the adult sessions. I enjoyed many classes with Sandy over the years and had a great time playing many Cape Breton tune sets with him. My deepest sympathy to his family.
He was a great guy and a wonderful supporter of Cape Breton Music and Dance. Jackie Nicholl
