  3. Sorry to hear of Hampton’s passing. Haven’t seen him in many many years, but I remember him in the late 60’s ….rounded up the young fellows of the area to make a ball team. I didn’t know many up the river at the time, they went to a different school, but I heard about the team, and walked to McDermids field, and we played about 2 seasons I believe….all on Hampton’s watch and work. I never had to walk home….he would make sure someone got me and everyone else home safe. I don’t forget people like that, and I owe him a debt of gratitude for sure. A good man, a good coach , saw a need and filled it with fun …all on his own. God Bless

  4. Tyson, Shauna and family.

We are all so sad to hear about your dad’s death. I know how much his love for hockey and fishing will be carried on through his grandkids. May you hold each other close and remember the good times and the laughs through this terribly sad period. We are so glad you are together. Much love from all of us. Karen, Jason, Jacob and Reed. Xo

  5. So sorry to hear that Hamp has passed away. We pass along our sincere condolences to all Hamp’s family. He was a friend of ours for many years, we will miss his visits.

  6. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
He was a great man always there to help you . I am so glad that I got to visit him when I was back to Margaree. You will be miss . RIP Hampton 🙏 💔

  7. Thanks Linda. He spoke of you often. Dad was always interested in connecting with relatives. It would be nice to figure out that family tree.

  8. Our thoughts go out to Hamptons family.
Hamp was such a great friend. We knew each other forever. We took many road trips together, all over the Maritimes. We played horseshoes with George and Harry .He was also an excellent Rummoli player..l could write a book about all the things we did ,and it was always great fun..
Hamp always took care of my cabin in Margaree, mowing the lawn and cleaning up around the property. He also loved my wife’s potato salad., we sent him home with it all the time.
His laughter and humour were always a highlight, and he will be missed .
Rest in peace , my friend.
