  1. I feel so blessed to have had Josie as an aunt. Josie laughed and loved easily. She fed people on so many levels. She taught me that love can come in the form of a cookie, a biscuit, a smile or a warm hug. I feel blessed to have been shown such a wonderful example of unconditional love. I will miss you Aunt Josie on one level, but I can also feel that your love will always be with me.

  2. Dear MacDonald Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. She was always so gracious when we met her on visits to Dartmouth to see Peter and Peggy and the kids. We are thinking of you all in this the time of your grief.

  4. Josie was a wonderful person who was welcoming to everyone. Growing up, we loved visiting her house because we knew there would be cookies and other delicious treats and hockey or baseball on the television. It was such a warm and inviting place to be and that is largely due to Josie’s hospitality and kindness. She leaves a legacy of an amazing and caring family/extended family now spread across the country and a life well lived.
